Electrical The house bank consists of four golf cart batteries. These batteries have heavy duty plates, weigh less and cost less than marine batteries of similar amp hours. These are first wired in series to get to 12V and then in parallel to provide the amp hours.
A separate 4D conventional starting battery can be combined by a parallel switch when required. There is a marine battery charger and a Link 10 battery status instrument.
There are two 30Amp 110v shore power inputs to provide AC to the outlets and a dedicated line for the reverse cycle heat and air conditioning. Hot water is made at the dock by 110V shore power and at sea by the engine's heat exchanger.
A high output alternator keeps the batteries charged when underway.

Deck The hull is fiberglass and had an Epoxy barrier coat applied in 2001. The decks are teak over cored fiberglass.
The ground tackle consists of a Delta anchor with chain and rode and a Fortress anchor with nylon rode. Both are managed by a Simpson/Lawrence electric windlass with controls at the windlass and also with remote operation. An anchor wash down keeps the fore deck nice and clean.
The aft deck is covered by a hardtop with a hatch to provide access to the upper helm.
There is a Bimini to shade the upper helm and weather clothes keep the crew comfortable while topsides. All canvas is dark blue including covers to protect the teak trim from UV damage when at port.
