Starting at the RW "M" MO("A") buoy from Offshore, the channel runs about WSW. Get to the G "1" buoy and continue following your red and green.
At G "7" the channel turns to starboard running about NW (approx). By G "11" and R "12", a breakwater begins.
As you come thru the Inlet, at R "16" the channel splits....you can stay straight and take the "Main Channel" which brings you into Miami and north. Or take the left fork to "Lummus Island Cut" to go south into Biscayne Bay. Both ways will take you to the ICW.
You can go to Coconut Grove and enjoy the "Coco Walk"....maybe see a Celebrity!
I was coming from the Keys Offshore, and saw a Swordfish come up. It circled its sword about the surface with an opened mouth for a moment, and then swam off. They say a lot of Swordfish are spotted in this area.
